China ousts South Korea, reaches Semifinals

Jinqiu Hu scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Junjie Wang contributed 21 points and 7 boards as Chine advances to the Semifinals of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup with a hard-fought 79-71 win over South Korea.

South Korea, who has been hot from the three-point area in the entire tournament, shot only 3-of-24 (12.5%) against China.

Hyunjung Lee scored 22 points to lead South Korea.

China will now play either New Zealand or Lebanon for a spot in the final.

Australia overcomes China to win 3rd straight FIBA Asia Cup crown

Xavier Cooks scored 30 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the field and added 9 rebounds, leading Australia to a come from behind 90-89 win over China to win their third straight FIBA Asia Cup Gold.

Jaylin Galloway added 23 points, making 6 of his 10 three-point attempts, and 5 boards.

It was a tough loss for China, who led by as much as 15 points in the second quarter and led for much of the game.

Mingxuan Hu paced the Chinese with 26 points and Jinqiu Hu contributed 20 points and 10 rebounds.

China stuns New Zealand to advance to Final

China scored the final nine points of the game to held off New Zealand 98-84 and advance to the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Final for the first time since winning the gold on 2015.

Rui Zhao had 24 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field, including 5 three-pointers and issued 6 assists for China, leading 4 others in double figures.

New Zealand is still searching for its first FIBA Asia Cup Final appearance after losing in the semifinals for the 3rd straight edition (4th in 2017; Bronze in 2022) .

Taylor Britt paced the Tall Blacks with 21 points and 6 assists.

South Korea routs Guam, will face China in Quarterfinals

After trailing 6-16 midway through the opening quarter, South Korea outscored Guam 93-50 the rest of the game to win pulling away 99-66.

Jeonghyeon Moon had 16 points to lead three other South Korean players -- Hyunjung Lee (14 points), Kisang Yu (13) and Yungi Ha (13) -- finished in double figures, in a balanced attack. Moon also added 8 rebounds and 5 steals.

South Korea advances to the Quarterfinals where they will meet familiar foe China.

Alexander Kamai finished with 19 points to pace Guam.

South Korea shot the light out from beyond the arc, hitting 22 three-pointer in 38 attempts (57.8%) to post a 97-86 win over Lebanon.

Hyunjung Leee (7-of-13 3PT) and Kisang Yu (8-of-12 3PT) both finished with 28 points to lead South Korea.

Omar Jamaleddine led Lebanon with 15 points.

The win clinches Group C's top spot and a Quarterfinals berth.

India, which lost its second dtraight game, was led by Arvind Muthu Krishnan's 16 points.

Australia led from start to finish as South Korea couldn't keep up with the hot shooting Aussies, who finished with 15 made three-pointers on 26 attempts.
