New Zealand trailed by as much as 22 points in the first quarter before rallying to register a 90-86 win over a hocked Lebanon squad.
The Tall Blacks used a 22-9 run in the middle of the 4th quarter to turn a 65-72 deficit into an 87-81 advantage and held on to win the game.
Mojave Jackson King paced the Tall Blacks with 23 points, while 3 other scored in double figures.
Dedric Lawson lef the Lebanese with 24 points and 13 boards.

Dedric Lawson had 24 points and 10 rebounds, leading four other Lebanese in double figures to stun Jaoan and enter the Quarterfinals of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, where they will face New Zealand.
Lebanon led by as much as 26 points in what was expected to be a close game, as Japan struggled from the field, shooting only 43 percent (25-of-60).
Hirotaka Yoshii paced Japan with 16 points and 5 rebounds.

Hyunjung Leee (7-of-13 3PT) and Kisang Yu (8-of-12 3PT) both finished with 28 points to lead South Korea.
